Children seek refuge in the United States for many reasons; to escape war, gangs, or violence, to flee abuse or to reunite with family. Others enter involuntarily as labor or sex trafficking victims. In recent years the number of unaccompanied immigrant children migrating to the United States has nearly tripled and they have no representation or legal counsel, leaving them vulnerable & alone.
Immigration Counseling Service (ICS) provides critical legal services for unaccompanied children and their families. ICS is the oldest, and only, independent non-profit law firm serving immigrants in Oregon and Southwest Washington. It has provided legal assistance to individuals from more than 90 countries since 1978.
